The Researcher is very important for unlocking more crafting recipes, especially after no more can be discovered with the Research Desk. Occasionally players will also find recipe scrolls, which hold the secrets to crafting unique items. However, they must be translated by the researcher and he does not work for free! To summon a Researcher you must craft a Researcher Outfit and place it on a Mannequin. You can also find a Researcher Outfit in an abandoned house not far from your spawn point.
