You must damage the shield twice with the boomerangs that Sano throws at you to make it drop. The boomerangs travel to your current location multiple times, so you must lead them to hit Sano's shield. If the boomerangs hit you, they disappear. After taking out the shield, you will get a 10 second window to deal as much damage as possible to her. After 10 seconds, the shield will reappear and you must rinse and repeat.
